Fire Cider is a traditional folk remedy made popular by Rosemary Gladstar. There are as many ways to make fire cider as there are herbalists--after several years of trying different recipes, this is the one I always come back to.

Ingredients:

organic apple cider vinegar, organic horseradish, organic ginger, organic turmeric, organic elderberries, organic hibiscus, organic lemon, homegrown chile pequin, homegrown thyme, homegrown oregano, organic garlic, sustainably harvested chaga, local honey

Instructions:

Sip a small shot when you’re feeling stuffy, sick, or like something’s coming on. You can repeat this every couple of hours.

I also use fire cider liberally in cooking--especially on dishes like stewed greens.
